Fresh Content Is Important

by admin on August 14, 2009

In this day and age when anyone and everyone can start an online presence with little or no coding experience Google now cannot place nearly the importance they once had on backlinks. So then what can Google use to separate the good from the bad or the boring from the unique. Well a new theory has come and it is now being accepted as the direction which Google is heading. Google is now treading through the Web 2.0 and rather than counting one backlink as a vote which they did in the past they are finding the sites which are being talked about in the social media such as blogs, social networking, social bookmarking, and other websites which users have much greater interactivity with no only servers, but each other. Now in the olden days when it was acceptable to have an ok looking site with ok content and excellent backlinks it is time to begin stepping away from the old ways and begin learning/grasping a new outlook when it comes to your web presence and the marketing campaign which you use to market the presence.

The new way of marketing is mandatory for those looking to make money online. Google has strived to find the most useful websites for their readers, but have had problems figuring out website created for readers from the websites created for search engines. Now with the Web 2.0 what better way than use human eyes and ears to find the most unique, most useful, and all around best website out there. People discuss it on twitter, facebook, vote on digg, and mention it on their blogs wouldn’t it be a much better site then a websites whose webmaster listed it in thousands of directories in an attempt to gain link popularity?

We now have a grasp of what Google is looking for now comes the difficulty of gaining the respect or at least the curiosity of the world of Web 2.0. This is where writing fresh, unique, and helpful content which is updated very often comes into play. To become the top of social websites and become the topic of discussion within the blogosphere a website must have that something special which separates it from the others within its niche. Personally I think that writing at least daily has been one of the building blogs of my success rather than the countless hours which I spend building links. I did a little experiment, I built a website which I marketed the heck out of and I gained first position within 3 months or so then I built a blog and rather than marketing I decided to try updating the blog with a constant stream of helpful unique content and see what kind of position I could gain through link bait and found it was much easier to gain first page ranking through good content rather than constant marketing. Anyway if you would like to see what a fresh stream of content can do for your web presence go to Google.com and type in website marketing blog and on the first page you will see my blog “Website Marketing with Kris”.
