It doesn’t take long before I come across another income claim while going about my daily business. I guess it is a hazard of the profession I have chosen to be in. I see them in my inbox, on twitter, and in my facebook account.
Incomes claims are everywhere and the internet is getting more and more like Times Square.“Make $250 in 24 hours”, “I Just earned $2,000 while out shopping with my sister in law.” The list of examples could go on but I won’t go there, as I am sure you have all seen it for yourselves.
Now there is a possibility that these income claims are true and that indeed these people have made $2,000 while out shopping with sis. The problem is however, that the masses really don’t believe the hype. People have been burned all too often from people making false claims about their companies and so now people are failing to spot the genuine opportunities when they come along from the scams / non profitable systems.
Now I know some people who do make a lot of money, and do know some people that don’t. Regrettably I have also come across people who talk the talk but when you dig deeper, they are not making a single dime.
Desperate to make a sale, they believe that pretending that they have made a sale will convince others that they can too. The problem here of course is that people are being hoodwinked into joining poor business models that simply do not work effectively, thus giving the genuine opportunities a bad reputation.
In my opinion, we should take the path less travelled. Stand out from the crowd and demonstrate that we do not need to display our income claims to make a sale. I believe the no fluff; no hype approach is far more powerful and generally is far more productive. The fact is, some people make so much money that if they tell the truth, people would simply not believe them.
From personal experience, when people have asked me how much money I make online I simply tell them that it is irrelevant what I make. The reason being is that it is not about me, but about them and what they can do for themselves. Let’s be honest, they make more money than me or they may not make a penny. With the best training available and the best product line behind you, getting up doing the work is vital to your success.
Two interesting things have happened over the last week that I am very excited about. Firstly, my primary business has now hired a full-time compliance officer checking that people within our business are not using income claims in their advertising. Those that fail to adhere to the new company policy, get their accounts closed.
Secondly, the Association of Better Networkers is also going to strengthen the integrity of the honest, hard working, genuine people. Being a member can only be a good thing for any online business.
To your continued success
