There are particular psychic conditions which are particularly conducive to the manifestation of clairvoyant phenomena, whilst every part of students of the matter recognize very well. These zen meditation conditions are somewhat hard to induce, at least until the clairvoyant has had considerable experience and practice. But, in the mention of sleep, the person induces the desired conditions, in many cases, while he is not consciously doing so. Whilst might naturally be expected, therefore, the majority of the recorded cases of clairvoyance have occurred as soon as the clairvoyant person has been asleep.
I have to too state, once more, that in many case histories in which the clairvoyant has witnessed the “appearance” of another person, while in the instances such when I have barely mentioned, there is always the possibility of the person having really appeared in his astral body, unconsciously to himself of course. No one but a skilled occultist is able to declare between case histories of this kind. The line among this class of clairvoyance and astral appearance is very thin, and, in fact, the two classes of phenomena shade and blend into every other. In reality, as soon as one gets down to bottom principles, there is very dumpy difference between the valid appearance in the astral body, and the healthy projection of one’s presence by means of will, conscious or unconscious, along the lines of awakening the clairvoyant vision of others. To attempt to give details the slight points of difference here, would just involve the student in a mass of technical description which would tend to confuse, rather than to enlighten him—from this I refrain.
The third great class of clairvoyant phenomena, identified as Time Clairvoyance, is divided into two sub-classes, while follows: (1) Past-Time Clairvoyance; and (2) Future-Time Clairvoyance. The characteristics of every of these sub-classes is indicated by its name.
Past-Time benefits of meditation Clairvoyance, whilst indicated by the name, is that class of clairvoyant phenomena which is concerned with the perception of facts, events and happenings of past time. Whether the happening is that of five minutes ago, or of five thousand years ago, the principles involved are precisely the same. One is no more or less fantastic than is the other.
Numerous students confess themselves perplexed when they are primarily confronted with this quality of phenomena. When they find it comparatively simple to observe how by astral vision the clairvoyant is capable to sense events happening at that moment, though thousands of miles away from the observer, they cannot at primarily identify with how one can “see” a thing no longer in existence, however which disappeared from sight thousands of years ago. Naturally, they consult to be informed how this is possible, before proceeding to develop the faculty itself. Believing that this question is at the moment being asked by you, the student of these lessons, I shall pause for a few moments and uncover you “just how” this excellent thing becomes possible to the clairvoyant.
